Revisiting past conferences

RISE @ ESC Congress 2024

The RISE conference returned for its second edition in partnership with The European Society of Cardiology, alongside the ESC Congress in London. RISE 2024 Program Directors Professor Barbara Casadei, Dr. Roxana Mehran and Dr. Azin Parhizgar addressed women’s underrepresentation in leadership roles in both academic and clinical settings, creating an agenda that inspired attendees to “Lead By Design.” Experts from the world of business and medicine shared their expertise and practical tips on topics including negotiation, conflict resolution, mentorship and more.

RISE 2023

The inaugural RISE Conference took place in February 2023 in New York City. Sessions included candid panel discussions with department chiefs, funding organizations, and industry sponsors to highlight existing opportunities for women cardiologists, and identify the changes that are still needed. We were joined by three incredible keynote speakers, Dr. Sasha Shillcutt, Eric Collins and Geena Davis!
