Women As One is proud to announce that RISE will return at ESC Congress 2025. RISE is presented in partnership with the European Society of Cardiology, and in 2025, with the World Congress of Cardiology. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to advancing the professional development of women in cardiology.

Scheduled for August 28th in Madrid, RISE at ESC Congress 2025 aims to empower women in cardiology by providing a platform to develop essential non-clinical skills crucial for career advancement. The conference will feature a dynamic agenda, including insightful discussions led by esteemed leaders in cardiology and business, interactive coaching sessions, and valuable opportunities for mentorship and networking. Program Directors Dr. Roxana Mehran, Dr. Maria Rubini, and Dr. Liesl Zühlke have designed the program to offer a truly global perspective on leadership.

Dr. Roxana Mehran, Founder and President of Women As One, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:

“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with the European Society of Cardiology and to welcome the World Congress of Cardiology as a new partner for RISE at ESC Congress 2025. This expanded partnership reflects a unified commitment to addressing gender disparities in cardiology leadership and to supporting the growth of women leaders in the field worldwide.”

Jean-François Riffaud, Chief Executive Officer of the European Society of Cardiology, emphasized the importance of this initiative:

“We are proud to continue our partnership with Women As One to host RISE alongside ESC Congress. It is both a truly inspiring event, and an important reminder of how much more we still need to achieve for gender equality within the cardiology community and for cardiovascular patients. Together with RISE, the ESC is fully committed to tackling gender inequalities and building a truly inclusive and gender balanced cardiovascular sector.”

Empowering women in cardiology is essential to advancing cardiovascular health worldwide, and this collaboration represents a pivotal step toward achieving that goal.

RISE @ ESC Congress 2025 will take place on Thursday, August 28, at the IFEMA Madrid, the day before the annual ESC Congress convenes at the same venue. Registration is now open: register here.
