David P. Lee, MD received his B.S. degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992, Dr. Lee completed an Internal Medicine residency, General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Stanford University. He is currently Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiovascular) and the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program as well as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Laboratory at Stanford University.

Dr. Lee is Board-certified in Interventional Cardiology. He was President of the Western States Affiliate of the American Heart Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He was the first Chairman of the Santa Clara County Cardiac Care Audit Committee and has also served a similar position in San Mateo County.

He has published numerous manuscripts, book chapters and abstracts. His work has appeared in such publications as the New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Atherosclerosis, Circulation and The Lancet. 

Dr. Lee’s career interests include developing novel treatments for acute myocardial infarction, and new device development in structural and coronary heart disease.
