CLIMB Clinical Skills Training provides women in cardiology with advanced procedural skills, a crucial building block for career advancement.

Women are highly underrepresented in cardiology and cardiovascular subspecialties and disproportionately so in treating the most complex cases. Women also comprise a significantly lower percentage of thought leaders who partner with industry on research, training, and educational efforts. This results not only in a less diverse set of experiences and opinions with which consequential scientific decisions are made but also excludes women from learning about new therapies, devices and techniques and from gaining exposure to training.
CLIMB aims to bridge this gap by allowing women physicians to develop the skills to become their field’s next thought leaders.
Topics are rotated each year based on community feedback and new scientific discoveries. Unique components of CLIMB include:

Research has shown that certain groups are highly underrepresented within cardiology, particularly within procedural subspecialties. The goal of the CLIMB program is therefore to increase the opportunities for these groups to not only participate in these areas within their own institutions but to serve as experts in regional and national forums. CLIMB offers a unique opportunity to learn from world-leading experts in a supportive, small-group environment.
CLIMB Clinical is open to global women cardiologists who are in, or who have completed fellowship (specialist) training program, typically within cardiology and related subspecialties. This can vary depending on the different learning tracks each year.
The curriculum is set by the world subject matter experts that serve as Program Directors.
In general, the program runs for six months, from July-December with each month a 90-minute webinar each month. Most topics will also include homework and preparing case presentations.
CLIMB is not accredited for CME.
