Opening Pathways in Cardiology

This global initiative is designed to transform who enters, advances in, and ultimately leads the field of cardiovascular medicine. This program creates early exposure, hands-on learning, mentorship, and community for young women, particularly those from underrepresented and non-traditional backgrounds—long before career trajectories are set.

Radiation safety

Radiation exposure is consistently cited as a barrier that dissuades women from entering specific medical subspecialties. We promote radiation safety in the workplace through resources highlighting proper training, protective equipment, and policies essential to the modern workforce.

I’m deeply grateful to Women As One and Novo Nordisk for making this vital research possible and for championing women mentoring women in cardiology. Through this award, my mentee and I have been able to highlight critical gaps in care for patients with health-related social needs-insights that are helping guide the path towards access to life-saving cardiovascular care for all.
