Women As One was founded in 2019 by Dr Roxana Mehran and Dr Marie-Claude Morice, two internationally recognized leaders in cardiovascular care and research. We are a public 501(c)(3) charity. Learn more about us here.

You can share about Women As One with your networks and help support women in your organization to find our programs so we can have a greater impact. We support organizations to achieve their diversity, equity and inclusion goals by matching our resources to their needs. To participate in our programs, women cardiologists must join our community through the Talent Directory where you can then apply. We recommend registering with your personal email address to ensure seamless access and continuity even if you change institutions.

We run several live events throughout the year in collaboration with our industry partners and we’re present at major conferences across the globe. We also run our annual in-person conference, RISE. Launched in 2023, RISE is an annual in-person conference developed to provide a unique forum for professional development training for women in healthcare. RISE offers participants an opportunity to build non-clinical skills critical to career advancement. Learn more about RISE here.

While the content presented at RISE is designed for women in medicine, we know that true parity cannot be achieved without the participation of male allies. As such, we welcome participation from men who are committed to the advancement of women into leadership roles. 

RISE is a full-day, in-person conference comprised of interactive sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and more, all focused on a key aspect of professional development for women physicians.

Our Awards are uniquely targeted at identifying and proactively resourcing a select group of high-potential women physicians. Through the awards, we advance more women in their careers and ultimately into leadership positions, effectively breaking the cycle of underrepresentation for future generations.
