The Women in Medicine Summit is a two-day CME conference focused on inspiring and empowering attendees in both their personal and professional lives. The Summit includes keynote addresses, plenary sessions, breakout sessions, mentorship sessions, networking, and more. Attendees will learn skills in leadership development, negotiation, navigating difficult situations, finding a balance in professional and personal life, ways to accelerate career advancement, and more. The goal is to not only provide attendees with take-home skills and toolkits but also create communities across the country of women (and allies!) to help lift each other up and achieve satisfaction and enjoyment in both their professional and personal lives. 2023 WIM Award Nominations
The focus of this summit is to identify barriers women face in the medical field and create action plans that can be executed at both the local and national level. To this end, we are offering four awards to be given at the 2023 Summit:
#Resilience (Individual who has overcome barriers)
Recognizes someone who has to face significant hurdles and has persisted. This award is meant to honor strength, grit, tenacity, and grace in the setting of difficult circumstances.
#Trailblazer (Woman who has championed women)
Recognizes women who have made significant contributions to improve the careers of fellow women physicians. This award is meant to honor women who are 10 years or less from completion of training and who lift others up and breakdown barriers for other women.
#SheforShe (Woman who has championed women)
Recognizes women who have made significant contributions to improve the careers of fellow women physicians. This award is meant to honor women who have been out of training for at least 10 years who lift others up and breakdown barriers for other women.
#HeforShe #TheyforShe (Non-woman who has championed women)
Recognizes men or nonbinary individuals who have made significant contributions to improve the careers of women physicians. This award is meant to honor non-women who recognize and fight barriers for women.
