The Escalator Awards are an annual recognition of highly qualified women physicians taking action to improve patient care in their specialty. The Escalator Awards aim to fortify the pipeline of women leaders in medicine through targeted funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities. By providing support and visibility to talented women physicians, we hope to develop a more equitable healthcare workforce.
After opening in August, the application window for The 2023 Escalator Awards closes today (7th October).
Award categories
Research
Providing financial support to a research project that benefits the population of an underserved community.
Mentor Match
We match a current fellow and experienced physician from different institutions. The mentorship pairs will develop and execute a research, education or quality improvement project over the course of the 12-month award period.
Kickstarter
Supporting access to training and mentorship for women physicians practicing in nations with transitional and developing economies.
